Anti-Mold Paint on the Film Mold Proofer® SMP-100 Mold Proofer Paint
Before After SMP-100 Mold Proofer Paint is a high-hide, heavy duty and water resistant coating that utilizes a tailored migrational dehydration matrix that is united with a proprietary mildewcide. This leading edge formula is carried with a complex binding nanopolymer that prevents the growth of mold, mildew, sapstain, fungus and any microbiological life on the coating film without compromising any environmental considerations. SMP-100 was formulated with intense stain-blocking and odor encapsulating additives. This product can be used in existing buildings wherever mold and mildew growth is a problem. This coating can also be used to coat all applicable building materials before installation to prevent mold and mildew growth on the film. SMP-100 can be applied to walls, ceilings, sub floors, ductwork, wood, drywall, etc. SMP-100 can be used as a primer or top coat and should be used over decontaminated surfaces to hide stains that cannot be removed. This unique three in one product will encapsulate odors, inhibit the growth of microorganisms on the film and act as a stain-blocking primer or paint, which can be recoated if desired. SMP-100 effectively hides mold and mildew stains after a proper cleaning. Use on exterior and interior wood, galvanized metal and aluminum, wallboard, plaster and masonry surfaces. SMP-100 provides outstanding sealing (especially water extractives in redwood and cedar) and antifungal characteristics on the film. Especially effective in tropical areas that are subject to mold and fungus attack.
Antimicrobial SMP-100 encompasses a migrational dehydration compound and an EPA registered antimicrobial additive that completely inhibits the growth of all microorganisms on the surface of the film for the life of the coating. Odor Encapsulating SMP-100's odor encapsulate counteracts and aids in deodorizing and eliminating odors. SMP-100 provides a fluent paint-like film on interior and exterior surfaces and is sandable and recoatable without noxious odors associated with competing products. SMP-100 should be used when you want to hide stains and inhibit growth for the life of the coating itself. Most other "inhibitors" last three months or up to a year depending on conditions.

Surface Preparation & Finishing Systems Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, wax, rust, loose paint and microbiological life. Application Apply when air and surface temperatures are 50º F (10º C) or higher. Brush: Stir thoroughly and apply as received in the container with a good quality nylon brush. Roller: Stir thoroughly and apply as received in the container with a good quality short nap roller. Airless Spray: Airless Electric 1 GPM @2500 PSI or Air Operated 30:1 ratio 2 GPM, 11.4 CFM or larger; Gun Any type with trigger safety and 3000 PSI working pressure; Fluid Pressure - 2250 PSI; Tip - .018 Orifice; Filter- None.
