-Mold Prevention- MOLD PROOFER®FLUOROBASE SMP-200The SMP-200 Mold Proofer Fluorobase is a highly fluorinated and extremely durable coating. It utilizes a proprietary fluoro-polyol synthesized by SEI that offers extreme anti-stick, chemical, UV and weathering resistance. This coating also incorporates a nanotechnological anti-abrasion additive and a zero VOC non-leaching EPA registered antimicrobial. This multi-fascist coating inhibits the growth of microorganisms on the film, encapsulates odors and acts as a non-stick, self-cleaning and stain-blocking coating. SMP-200 provides world class performance with an expected life span exceeding 20 years. This single component product and has a pot life of 4-7 hours depending on relative humidity and temperature. The 200 is applied in 1 or 2 coats depending on the porosity of the substrate. Typical coverage rates are 250-350 sq. ft. per gal at 1.5 to 2 Mils dry. It can be brush, rolled or spray applied. See Product Data and MSDS for further information. *Exceeded Performance Requirements for Microbiological Testing: ASTM D5590, D3273, D3274 Ultimate self cleaning anti-stick properties Clear Microbiological resistance on the film AQMD/VOC - 0 g/L Excellent durability and adhesion Long-term performance This product is a single component, high solid system that exhibits outstanding performance properties. The unique fluorinated polymer makes it impervious to moisture, weathering and UV degradation, and it is highly resistive to microbiological life, hydrocarbons, corrosion and a wide variety of harsh chemicals. SMP-200 can be applied to walls, ceilings, sub floors, ductwork, wood, drywall, exterior/ interior wood, ferrous and non-ferrous metal, aluminum, wallboard, plaster and masonry surfaces. This coating exhibits outstanding weathering characteristics and is ideal for limited immersion service on marine, aerospace, architectural, construction, industrial and automotive applications. PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS Outstanding Hydrophobic and Oleophobic surface properties. Highly flexible, non-stick and outstanding impact and abrasion resistance. Highly resistant to attack by micro-organisms, hydrocarbons, chemical products and UV radiation. Features phenomenal hiding and enamel holdout. Its complex vehicle gives excellent durability and adhesion with interior and exterior use. Provides protection and penetration of water. Seals water extractives and tannins in redwood and cedar. ODOR ENCAPSULATING An odor encapsulate that counteracts and aids in deodorizing and eliminating odors. SMP-200 provides a fluent paint-like film on interior and exterior surfaces that is recoatable. SMP-200 should be used when you want to hide stains and inhibit growth for the life of the coating itself. Most other "inhibitors" last three months or up to a year depending on conditions . COVERAGE SMP-200 exhibits excellent opacity and coverage when spray-applied. Number of Coats: 2 coats at 50 microns 1srt Coat: Fog or tack coat, 2nd coat applied wet on wet 10-20 minutes after first. Ensure that the product is consistent in thickness after stirring, clear, flowable and transparent before using.
SAFETY & WARNING: When applying product use an approved NIOSH respirator, approved gloves, skin protection and/or protective clothing and eye protection. If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust or fumes. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST OR FUMES CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a properly fitted NIOSH-approved respirator and prevent skin contact to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to protect yourself and your family by contacting the USEPA National Lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov/lead. In Canada contact a regional Health Canada office. Follow these instructions to control exposure to other hazardous substances that may be released during surface preparation. Spray equipment must be handled with due care and in accordance with manufacturer's recommendation. High-pressure injection of coatings into the skin by airless equipment may cause serious injury, requiring immediate medical attention at a hospital. Read all label and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) information prior to use. *Microbiological Testing performed by 3rd party accredited laboratory. Test results available upon request.
